The Yarraville-Footscray Bowling Club are pleased to announce that club members Nino Vlahovic, Winston Brackley & Brett Mahoney have just won the Australian National Triples Title. They played yesterday at the Broadbeach Bowls Club on the Gold Coast. Winning their section after beating the team from West Australia by 5 shots, then beating the team from South Australia by 8 shots. They lost the last game to Queensland by 3 shots, but they had enough shots up to win the section. In the final they played against Tasmania, and they never really looked like getting beat. They scored from the first end and really played very well, winning the final 23 v 7.
All members of the Yarraville-Footscray Bowling Club congratulate all 3 players on this wonderful win. And we look forward to them returning to the club and celebrating this wonderful achievement. Well done Nino, Winston & Brett.
